Visit of the Coordinator for negotiations to the President of the Energy Regulatory Office in Georgia as part of NEON invitation
Between April 15th – 17th, 2019 Mr. Janusz Gwiazdowski, being invited by Ms. Salome Vardiashvili - Energy Ombudsman in Georgia had visited Tbilisi.
Whilst the three-day visit, in addition to the host, i.a. the Coordinator met with Ms. Sophia Kiladze, Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, Ms. Natia Turnava, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, as well as Mr. Giorgi Pangani and Mr. David Narmania, commissioners of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC).
During the visit, among others, the topics of increasing awareness and protection of consumer rights in Georgia, in particular in energy sector, cooperation between ombudsmen of NEON members and the Georgian side, and out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes in the energy sector in Georgia were discussed.
